Aborigines Gaoled. —Three aborigines, found guilty at Port Darwin on charges of throwing spears at missionaries, were each sentenced to three years imprisonment. • Marconi Married. —A Rome message states that Signor Marconi, the inventor, has civilly married Mary, daughter of Count Francesco Bezzi Scali. Big Brisbane Fire. —A fire in the premises of Bickford and Sons, wholesale druggists and general merchants, in Tank Street. Brisbane, caused damage estimated at many thousands of pounds. Supreme Court at Gisborne.—The Supreme Court opened to-day before Mr. Justice Ostler with a light calendar of four cases for trial, true bills being found in all (says a Gisborne P.A. message).
