REGENT, EPSOM

“AN AFFAIR OF THE FOLLIES” “An Affair of the Follies,” a screen story produced by A 1 Rockett, of “Abraham Lincoln” fame, for First National, is at the Regent, Epsom, this week. Adapted from the magazine story, “Here Y’Are Brother,” by Dixie Willson, the picture retains many clever plot situations, and one in particular that caused the story to be cited as one of the outstanding bits of short fiction of the year. Briefly, the novel story is this: Three men lunch at adjoining tables in a New York chop house daily for a year without becoming acquainted. Fate, however, is entangling their lives through outside events and when they finally become acquainted two of them seek advice from the third. The third capably advises them—and by following his advice the two outwit their kindly adviser! Lewis Stone, Billie Dove and Lloyd Hughes are featured in the pictures.
