“THE EAGLE OF THE SEA 1 * A fleet of old-time windjammers, all heavily armed with cannon, |ave a Pacific rum-chaser several minutes of anxiety during the filming of Frank Lloyd’s “The Eagle of the Sea,” a Paramount picture which will be shown to-night. The vessels, flying French. Spanish and American flags, anchored off the Californian coast to stage a thrilling sea fight. An ambitious Government boat spotted them on the horizon and mistook them for rum-runners. Not until the armada was examined at close range did the prohibition agents discover their mistake. Those featured in “The Eagle of the Sea,” a romantic story of pirate strife and life, are Florence Vidor and Ricardo Cortez. The screen play was written by Julien Josephson from Charles Tenney Jackson’s novel, “Captain Sazarac.
