HOSPITAL MATRONS

FIRST CONFERENCE (From Our Resident Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A conference of public hospital matrons, the first of its kind in the Dominion, commences here on Tuesday. It will be opened by the Hon. J. A. Young, Alinister of Health. It is understood that this is a move to regulate the domestic control of the working of hospitals from staff and internal points of view. The moving spirit behind the conference is Aliss Stott, matron of the Wellington Hospital.
