THEFT CHARGE

ARREST AT LOWER HUTT REMAND TO AUCKLAND Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. William Grant, alias Terhan, alias Walker, was arrested at Lower Hutt this morning on a warrant for the theft at Auckland of ten watches, valued at £3(l, the property of Victor Edgar. He appeared before the court and was remanded to Auckland on June 13. Complaint was made to the police some time ago that Mr. Edgar’s shop was broken into by burglars and approximately £IOO worth of jewellery was stolen, including a number of watches.
