Pursuit of Burglar

MAN COMMENDED Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, To-day. In the Police Court, James Wood, 26, pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence on a charge of breaking, entering and stealing articles from the dwelling-house of Herbert Atkinson. The accused was seen to leave the house by the wife of the owner, who informed her husband. The latter followed the accused until, with help, he apprehended him. The Bench commended Atkinson for the prompt way in which/he pursued the accused, otherwise further trouble might have oc-curred.
