BUSY BURGLARS

BREAK AT POINT CHEVALIER WOMEN’S CLOTHES TAKEN Burglars wore busy at Point Chevalier on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning Mr. Jefferies’ lock-u£» shop was found in a disordered state, and investigation showed that about £lO worth of clothing was missing. The missing articles were mostly women’s clothing. Evidently the intruders had made a careful search and picked out the best articles they could find. An attempt had been made to break into Stewart’s fruit and ponfectionery shop, but the lock on the door had prevented the intruders from getting in. The door bore the marks of a jemmy.
