PURCHASING CAMPAIGN SHOW NEXT WEEK The present Lime indeed offers an appropriate opportunity lor the New Zealand-made Preference League to impress upon every citizen in the Dominion the vital necessity of supporting the industries of the country. Claiming that the problem of unemployment would be much nearer solution if its slogan was universally supported, the league is allowing no opportunity to pass of impressing upon tne public the importance of the secondary industries of the Dominion. Next week the local campaign will take the form of an exhibition in the Town Hall. Commencing on Wednesday it will run for five afternoons and evenings, when a number of novel attractions will be presented. Maori warriors will demontsrate old-time hakas, and very attractive and interesting poi dances will be given by Maori maidens. The pupils of Mile. Valeska will depict “living advertisements,” and mannequin parades will be regular features Every phase New Zea industry will be pr. on ted in a novel and attractive display.
