It was decided to tar-seal Onewa Road, for a distance of 44 chains, from the end of the concrete at the War Memorial to the boundary of the borough at a cost of £125. The engineer. Mr. Greville Walker, recommended that a small portion of the property that stands on the corner of Queen Street should be purchased with a view to widening the road.
The resignation of Mr. P. Colvin, foreman of works, was accepted with regret and appreciation of his long and valued services to the borough was recorded. He was granted one month’s leave of absence on full pay.
