CHARGES OF THEFT REMAND GRANTED “The accused admits the amounts," said Chief-Detective Cummings in the Police Court this morning when Richard Wilfred Williams, aged 3."». appeared on two charges of stealing money—£s 14s and £2 16s —belonging to the Mamaku Sports Club. Air. Cummings asked for a remand to June 16 to enable further enquiries to be made. Bail of £SO was allowed. The offences were alleged to have been committed on or about March 7 and March 11 respectively. Williams was arrested in Auckland yesterday.
