OPIUM SMOKING
A CHINAMAN FINED DEPORTATION ORDERED (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, To-day. Wang Lam was to-day fined £2 and costs 10s for having opium in his possession, in default five days’ imprisonment. It was also stated in court that arrangements had been made for the deportation of the defendant on Thursday next as he was over-staying his leave. 1
