COMING TO STRAND “The Agony Column,” the thrilling and entertaining mystery story by Earl Derr Biggers, has been picturised by Warner Bros., and will open at the Strand Theatre on Friday under its screen title of “The Man Upstairs.” Monte Blue, the star of the production, heads the brilliant cast. Dorothy Devore, for the first time in her picture career, plays Monte's leading lady: Heinie Conklin plays the star’s coloured servant, and John Roche a handsome army officer whose murder provides the thrills of the production and whose practical jokes provide the fun. The remainder of the cast includes Helen Dunbar. Eve Southern, Stanley Taylor. Otto Hoffman. Carl Stockdale and Arthur Thalaso.
