HIS MAJESTY’S
ANOTHER CHANGE TO-NIGHT “Fair and Warmer,” the new production by the Nellie Bramley Company at His Majesty’s Theatre, drew another good attendance last night. The Avery Hopwood comedy was the cause of many a hearty laugh. In the early Hopwood vein “Fair and Warmer” is thoroughly amusing. Miss Bramley has always been a warm Auckland favourite, and she has returned on this occasion with a company which maintains a standard well in keeping with her talents. “Fair and Warmer” is likely to be popular in Auckland. Considerable support is given in this presentation by Mr. Brett Randall, an English actor of considerable experience and ability, with a particularly easy manner. In “Fair and Warmer” acting honours are shared by Miss Bramley and Mr. Randall. They make a wonderful success of mixing cocktails until they reach the stage of seeing green elevators. Neither overacts the part, nor makes it vulgar. Mr. Hewlett made a reasonably indignant husband when he discovered his wife’s lapse. Miss Gower displayed her frocks and emotions nicely. The other members of the cast did all that was required of them. “A Little Bit of Fluff,” a London war-time success, will be presented by the company to-night.
