SMALL FIRE IN CITY

O. NO DAMAGE DONE At 3.44 p.m. yesterday the City Fire Brigade received a call to a fish and chip shop at 326 Ponsonby Road. The fire, which was caused by some fat boiling over, was confined to the stove. It was easily put out by the use of a chemical extinguishei'. No damage was done. The building, Which consisted of six rooms and a shop, is owned by Mr. R. Gray and occupied by Mr. C. Andrews. The contents are insured for £7OO in the London and Lancashire office.
