MIRTH AND MYSTERY

DONALD STUART AT REGENT From the moment the High and Mighty One, Donald Stuart, walked on the stage at the new Regent last evening, the audience shrieked with uncontrollable mirth. Seven feet of absurdly dressed humanity stalked across the boards and started with his famous “Music—’miff Music,” to perform the most comical feats of “magic” seen in many a day. He juggles and muddles, chattering away at terrific speed twisting and twirling his towering body this way and that, to the accompaniment of yells from his convulsed onlookers. Donald is undoubtedly one of the best acts J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville has sent to this country, and he is just the lad to prorife that irresistible entertainment with which one associates the holiday season. DIXIELAND GREAT DANCE NIGHT This evening’s entertainment at Dixieland Cabaret should draw a very large attendance, as the management has made arrangements to make this a night of fun and frolic. Besides special race night attractions, novelties and favours will be provided. Miss Nellie Bramley and Company will be the guests of the management from 11 o’clock until the small hours of the morning. The popular Dixieland Internationals under the leadership of Mr. C. Howley can always be depended upon to provide the latest numbers, and patrons will surely be enlivened by their syncopated music.
