FORGERY AND UTTERING A YOUTHFUL CRIMINAL Charges of forgery and uttering, of forgery and of theft, to which he had pleaded guilty in the lower court, brought William Clifford Ballam, aged 20, before his Honour Mr. Justice Herdman for sentence yesterday. “Only last week I sentenced you to IS months’ imprisonment on a similar charge,” said his Honour. “I don’t intend to increase the previous sentence, but will sentence you to 12 months’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentence to be concurrent with that .'ilnMiiy impos. d."
