RECEPTION FOR HERO AIRMAN PRESIDENT’S GUEST LINDBERGH GOING HOME By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, Wed. President Coolidge has announced that Captain Lindbergh has accepted an invitation to sail aboard the cruiser Memphis from Cherbourg direct to Washington. The vessel will steam up the Potomasc River on June XI. The airman will be given a reception by the President, Cabinet, officers of the army and navy, and citizens. Captain Lindbergh and his mother, who meet in Washington, will be the guests of Coolidge and Mrs. Coolidge. The reception details are now in the hands of district commissioners, cooperating with a Cabinet committee.
Captain Lindbergh will stay one day in Washington, after which he will probably fly to New York, where an enormous reception is already being planned.—A. and N.Z.
