Auckland Gun Club. —ldeal conditions prevailed for the winter shoot of the Auckland Gun Clt*b, which was held at yesterday in the presence of a large number of visiting and local sportsmen. The first match, for Mr. F. Kavanagh’s prize, resulted in a very keen contest. A. Dobson, 33yds, F. N. Seccombe, 29yds, W. Grant, 27yds, C. E. Hodge, 24yds, and D. Cairns. 22yds. all secured nine kills out of a possible of ten. They divided the prize money, and in the shoot-off for the trophy Dobson was successful. The second match for the secretary’s trophy was won outright by D. S. Ewing, 26yds, with a possible of five. Ten shooters divided second money, with a score of four. There were 20 competitors in each event.
