SEVEN-A-SIDE HOCKEY
TO-MORROW’S TOURNEY GALA DAY AT REMUERA Prospects are bright for the King's Birthday hockey tourney, consisting of seven-a-side matches and athletic events. . All the grounds are in first rate order so that if the weather holds fine a successful day’s sport is assured. Hockey at any time is a fast and vigorous game, but when a side numbers seven instead of the usual eleven the battle of the sticks becomes doubly strenuous for those participating, and intensely exciting from the point of view of the onlooker.
