LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS’ APPLICATIONS THE RESIDENTIAL CLAUSE The Question of granting transfers to the two Auckland League players, L. Brown and B. Davidson, to the Wigan Club, England, was advanced a further stage last night, when the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League decided that subject to the ednditions of the contract between the New Zealand and English Leagues being complied with, the transfers be approved. It was explained that the condition attaching to the granting of the transfers was for the purpose of enforcing the residential clause.
