Waihis Continue to Strengthen

BUSINESS ON ’CHANGE KAIAPOI WOOLLENS ACTIVE Alburnias, after fluctuating yesterday, have settled at a market of about 4s 3d, buyers at mid-day to-day offering 4s and sellers 4s 6d. Waihis continue in good tone on a firming market, buyers coming in this morning at 18s 6d, with sellers weakening 3d from the early call to 19s at mid-day. Ivaiapoi Woollens have strengthened Is 9d from Saturday’s closing quotation, to buyers 10s, and sellers 11s 6d. Government and local body debentures are still in good demand, though certain War Loans and Inscribed Stock are slightly weaker.
