YOUTH SHOT
BROTHER ARRESTED ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE WOUND IN SHOULDER Press Association. OAMARU, To-day. YOUTH. Allan Symons, has been arrested on a charge of attempting to murder his brother. JJERBERT SYMONS was found at his home early last evening with a wound in the left shoulder caused by a pea-rifle bullet. He was removed to the hospital. His younger brother was arrested when about to board a slow train for Dunedin and placed in custody to appear on a charge of attempted murder. It is alleged that Herbert intervened when Allan was about to punish a boy for throwing clods of earth at him while working in the garden, and Allan ran away, saying, “I’ll get you for this.” As he was about to leava the sleeping hut Herbert was shot in the left shoulder. The bullet struck the bone and rebounded into his clothing.
