Silver.—Standard, 28 7-16 d (26 l-8d) per oz; fine, 28 9-16 d (28 3-16 d). WHEAT AND FLOUR Wheat.—Cargoes are occasionally down. Parcels are in small demand at 3d down. Liverpool futures: May, 11s 41d per cental; July, 11s 31d; October. 11s 0 5-8 d; December, 10s lid. The spot trade is firm in sympathy with the advance of c.i.f. prices. Flour.—Steady. Australian ex store, 41s 3d. Oats.—Steady. Peas and Beans.—Slow. SALES OF SKINS At the London rabbitskins sale 2,250 were offered and 1,000 sold. Furriers, thin pelted, were from 5 to 10 per cent, above March rates, and stout pelted were from par to 5 per cent. down. Medium were unchanged, low 5 to 10 per cent, down, except smalls, which were slightly dearer. Greasy inferior sorts were almost impossible to sell and were responsible for the bulk of the withdrawals. On the Bradford tops market business is slow and prices are irregular. Quotations are: 64’s, 46d; 60’s, 41d; 56’s, 34d; 50’s, 26d; 46’s, 21d; 40’s, 191 d. At the sheepskins sales there was a fair selection and moderate competition. There were considerable withdrawals. The Home trade and the Continent were the principal buyers. Australian, half to full wool, were from par to 5 per cent, below April rates. Short-woollen were firm. New Zealand crossbreds were 5 per cent. down. —A. and N.Z.-Sun.
