LUCKY SHOT. —Reporting for the week ending May 27, the manager states:— “Driving north-east of No. 1 reef through the break a distance of six feet has now been driven for the week. The reef is now more defined, and shows gold freely. We have cut into the reef three feet, and no signs of the hanging wall. A start has been made to timber up the winze on No. 3 reef. This work will be completed this week: one set of timber was put in the main level.”
