DAY BELL ALL RIGHT

At Ellerslie yesterday morning Day Bell was galloped on number two grass, going round at a strong threequarter pace. The Day Comet horse is looking very well, and he is none the worse for his racing at Wanganui.

Too much notice should not be taken of his Wanganui performance, for he would need to have been a great horse to have won the Century Hurdles.

Day Bell is still in the Great Northern double event, and is to take his place in the field next Friday. It will depend on that outing whether or not he will take on the Steeplechase also.
