CELEBRATION IN BRITAIN By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 8 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Empire Day celebrations were held throughout the country. The school children marched past, saluting the Union Jack and the British Empire Union distributed 200,000 miniature Union Jacks for buttonholes and 20,000 Empire Day medals. Many shops were gaily decorated with Dominion flags and there were special displays of Empire goods.—A. and N.Z.
