PRINCE EDWARD
“THE WANING SEX” With every picture, Norma Shearer advances steadily toward her destiny as the most popular of all screen stars. Her performance in “The Waning Sex,” the new picture at the Prince Edward Theatre this week, is a revelation of captivating artistry and charm. Light comedy like “His Secretary,” drama like "The Snob.” "The Devil’s Circus” and "The Tower of Lies,” and now airy farce like "The Waning Sex,” all of these varying mediums find Miss Shearer’s superb talent rising to any demand they may make.
In “The Waning Sex,” an adaptation of the famous stage success by Frederick and Fanny Hatton, she enacts the part of a woman barrister, beautiful and clever. She is in love with the rising young district attorney, portrayed by Conrad Nagel, who holds stern views upon the equality of the sexes, and woman’s place in business.
