CHARITABLE AID

POSITION IN HAMILTON NO MARKED INCREASE HAMILTON, To-day. The Waikato Hospital Board has not been seriously beset so far this year with applications for the alleviation of distress, and the town seems fortunate in that respect compared with other centres. There has been no increase in charitable aid given deserving cases and calls have been the usual ones, applications, in main, being of a- temporary nature. It is difficult, however, to gauge what the position will be in Hamilton as winter progresses. There has been no increase in special relief granted, where unemployment has placed families In a precarious position.
