“I wrote one but did not post it,” said a witness in the New Plymouth Supreme Court last week when asked why he had not replied to a letter from solicitors. “You’re very wise,” remarked His Honour, humorously. "Never reply to lawyers’ letters.”
A Serious Charge. —James Thomas Regan, aged 38, was charged with a serious offence against a girl of nine, at the Police Court this morning, and remanded till next Monday.
