STRAND THEATRE
“THE DANGER SIGNAL” How safe are the railroads? Every week we read of accidents due to carelessness, mistakes or faulty signals. Some are minor, but many mean a great number of injured and even killed. In “The Danger Signal,” which is showing at the Strand Theatre, there is a reproduction of the events leading up to the wreck of a great train. In this case, however, the wreck is an act of heroism, since it saved a terrible smash-up with another speeding engine and the man who prevented the crash risked his life in an unusually dangerous manner.
Jane Novak, Dorothy Revier, Robert Edeson, Robert Gordon and Gaston Glass head a cast which presents this climax in “The Danger Signal.” There is no attempt to use propaganda on the railways. The story is taken from one of the same title by Douglas Doty, and deals with romance, mother love and swift adventure among the rich and poor who live under the influence of the shining rails. Erie C. Kenton was the director.
