PRINCESS AND TIVOLI
“THE BLUE STREAK” “The Canadian,” the principal attraction on the programme now showing at the Princess and Tivoli Theatres, is a picture dealing with the life of the wheat harvesters in Alberta, Canada. Thomas Meighan enacts the chief role, that of a young harvester, and the story deals principally with his struggle for a living in a new country and among strange people. The second feature is “The Blue Streak,” and tells the story of a young man, Richard Manley, portrayed by Richard Talmadge, who is sent to Mexico to investigate the workings of the El Grande gold mine. The mine manager resents Manley’s presence and arranges to kidnap him. A host of thrilling incidents follow in quick succession before the young man finally extricates himself from the clutches of his enemies and wins success. in his mission. Talmadge has starfed in many excellent films, but never has he attained greater success than as Richard Manley in “The Blue Streak.” - The latest gazettes and a comedy will also be screened at both theatres.
