Miss Marcella Duggan, aged 19 years, the daughter of the Marchioness Curzon of Kedleston, who is heiress to £4,000,000, was married to-day to Mr. Edward Rice Young, a barrister. The marriage is the culmination of a romance. The marchioness at first refused to give her consent to the marriage, and denied the engagement. Miss Duggan pleaded with her for a fortnight, and finally won her mother’s consent. —A. and N.Z.
