METHODIST TENNIS CLUB

MEETING AT PAPAKURA The annual meeting of the Papakura Methodist Tennis Club was held recently, the Rev. W. J. Elliott presiding over a good attendance of members. The report stated that the club had experienced a very satisfactory year both socially and financially, the balance-sheet showing a credit account of £ll 5s 4d. The club membership now stands at 30, all of whom are financial. A small committee was set up to consider the question of lengthening the courts and to discuss ways and means of putting the proposals into effect. The following officers were elected: President, the Rev. W. J. Elliott; chairman of the committee, Mr. S. Evans; secretary, Mr. D. Gerrard; treasurer, Mr. I. Williamson; club captain, Mr. E. Williamson; vice-captain, Mr. T. C. Seaton. Mrs. Huckstep and the Misses I. Richardson and Clarke will represent the ladies on the committee.
