ASHBURTON WAR MEMORIAL

COMPETITIVE DESIGNS—AUCKLANDER SECOND Press Association ASHBURTON, Tuesday. Messrs. Turnbull and Rule, architects, of Timaru, gained the first award in competitive designs for the Ashburton War Memorial.

Mr. H. L. Massey (Auckland) was second.

Twenty-eight designs were submitted from all parts of the Dominion, all of the cenotaph type.
