DOCKYARD DI SC HA RG ES. Over 500 men, forming the first batch to be discharged under the Admiralty’s decision to reduce personnel by 2,000, have ceased their employment in the Royal Dockyards. Two hundred went from Portsmouth, 150 each from Devonport and Chatham, and 30 from Sheerness. The remainder were under notice to leave at the end of last month.
