DEATH OF OLD RESIDENT

MR. WILLIAM CAIE The death occurred yesterday, at the residence of his son at Waitakaruru, near Thames, of Mr. William Caie at the age of 90. Mr. Caie was born in Kincardinshire, Scotland, and came to New Zealand in the ship Bombay in 1865. For a number of years he was clerk and collector to the Paparata Road Board, a position to which he was appointed in March 1887.
