CART OVER A CLIFF DRIVER AWARDED DAMAGES (From Our Own Correspondent .) OPOTIKI, To-day. An interesting civil case was heard in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. W. G. Kenrick, S.M. The action arose out of an accident which happened some weeks ago on the Gis-borne-Opo tiki Road, when a horse and trap, driven by T. B. Stott, fell over a cliff owing to a collision with a service car. Plaintiff jumped out before the cart fell.

After a lengthy hearing the magistrate awarded plaintiff damages amounting to .£36 3s 9d.
