YOUNG MAN HURT TAKEN TO HOSPITAL Falling into the harbour between the Central Wharf and the steamer, striking his head on one of the piles, and then being nearly drowned was the lot early yesterday e\ emng of Mr. Cjnl Newman, living at the Salvation Army \o one saw the accident, but Mr. J. Cleary a foreman employed by the Union Steamship Company, hearing a splash and cries for help, ran to the side of the wharf and saw Mr. Kewman struggling in the water. Mr. Clearv and another man immediately fet a rope down to the drowning man. “"Although the n!jured°man remained Si JK,?
