FOUND DROWNED

DEATH OF A NURSE FINE WAR RECORD Early this morning the body of Margaret Campbell was found lying on the beach at St. Mary's Bay, Shelly Beach, below the high-water mark. She had suffered continued ill-health. Miss Campbell was a nurse, aged 45, and lived with her mother and sister at 19a Hacket Street, Ponsonby. She was missed from her home at 6 o’clock this morning, and the police were informed. A search was made and the body was found in the beach at 7 o’clock. Miss Campbell had spent three years at the war and was well-known for her work as a nurse. She was a very popular figure in Ponsonby.
