To cure unbroken chilblains mix a teaspoon of mustard with half a pint of turpentine, leave for 24 hours, strain off and rub the liquid on.
A teaspoon of vinegar added to lard used for frying will prevent food being fried from absorbing too much fat.
Rub the hands with dry salt afte: having had them in winter for a length of time, then rinse * and dry them thoroughly and they will keep smootl: and white.
