AN ALCOHOLIC SHOCKER
“How many drinks did you say you had?” asked counsel in the Police Court to-day. “Three half-handles,” said the defendant.
“What were they, beer or whisky?” queried counsel who was evidently not acquainted with the term. The court smiled at the thought of the effect of three half-handles of potent Scotch on even the most hardened toper.
