JERUSALEM. Monday. Arab notabilities at Amman entertained Sir James Parr, General Chaytor and Brigadier-General Dodd* at luncheon. They were presented with Bedouin robes and daggers which the visitors put on when they descended to a courtyard where there were three beautifully caparisoned Argb horse* Sir James Parr when invited t° choose one was momentarily embarrassed, wondering how to transfer the gift to a seaport. . He admired one of the animalc au« replied that he would gratefully cept as he intended to return one da>‘‘l beg you keep this wonderful steed for me and when I come I shad be happy to ride with you through the country,” he said.
