The Rev. Adam Clarke, of Gore, vigorously maintains the authenticity of his progenitor, the first Adam, He has no tolerance of the doctrine of evolution. “God," says he, “created man not sons vague thing which ultimately became man, and stamped him with His own image.” In pursuance of his subject he announced the title of his next sermon as “Fig Leaves and Sheepskins.”
