RIVERHEAD AREA Work is well in hand for the plan + - ing of trees on the area of 8,500 acres of Crown land in the Riverhead district. The species of trees will be largely of the insignis and eucalyptus variety. The nursery contains about 2,000,000 seedlings and i£ is hoped to commence planting next month. Preparatory work such as laying out areas and making the necessary fire breaks is being carried on by a small gang of men.
