THE DRAPERY BUSINESS (Special to THE SUN.') CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. “I admit candidly that the drapery trade has had a slow time for nine months, but in the past month there has been a distinct .mprovement.” This statement was made to a SUN man by the manager of a large drapery concern. Retail buyers are showing much more confidence, and, provided that the acton of the banks in raising the overdraft rates had no adverse effect on trade, there was reason for the belief that improvement would continue.
