PROPOSED ALLOCATIONS (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTO, To-day. During the progress of the Waipa County Council’s meeting on Monday the chairman, Cr. S. C. Macky, who is also a member *>f the Ho. 2 District Highways Council, referred to the Waipa Council’s representations to the Highways Board. Cr. Macky said he had attended the last meeting of the district council. The meeting was unanimous in recommending the IvihikihiArapuni road as a main highway, but it would not recommend, at present, the Te Awamutu-Cambridge road as a main highway. The Puni Road, from Te Awamutu to Burton’s corner at Te Kawa West, was also recommended as a main highway.
