Crime costs the United States of America on a conservative estimate nearly £2,600,000,000 yearly, and on a liberal estimate may approach £4,000,000,000, according to Mr. M. O. Prentiss, one of the leading authorities, in a recent issue of the “Manufacturers’ Record.”
