PORT OF AUCKLAND

A BUSY WEEK-END The port of Auckland was unusually busy during the week-end. The Petricola arrived from San Francisco on Saturday, the Kaponga from New Plymouth, the Australind from New York, the Baron Ruthven from Cuba, and the Kurow from the South later the same day. The Queen Eleanor left for Wellington early on ■Saturday, and the Foreric sailed for Wanganui, the West Carmona for Wellington., and the Kartigi for Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. The Arawa arrived from Liverpool yesterday, and the Wainui from East Coast ports. The Royal Mail liner, Aorangi, was expected from Sydney at about 10 o’clock this morning, and the Nairn ana \va was due from Westport at mid-day. The Canadian Britisher was to have arrived yesterday from Halifax, but she was not in sight at 8.30 a.m. to-day. The intercolonial passenger steamer Marama is due at Auckland from Sydney to-morrow.
