STUDENTS’ VIEWS An attempt has been made by Professor J. E. Adams, of the University of Kentucky, to discover the ideal mate, from the point of view of the average young man and young woman. He issued question papers to 101) young men students and 159 girl students. From the replies he finds the consensus of the young men’s tastes to be: A wife, sft. sin. in height, 1251 b in weight, brown eyes and hair, light complexion, slender built, two years younger than the bridegroom, interested in music and literature, and with a teaching education. The girls’ ideal is this: A husband sft. lOin. tall, 1651 b. in weight, brown eye 3 and hair, light complexion, slender built, two years older than the bride, and also interested in music and literature.
