A RHYMING GAME

Any number of players can join in this game. One is chosen for the rhymer to start off with, and he says,

“I’m thinking of a word which rhymes with game.” Now the other players have to guess the word, and they do this by asking questions from the rhymer. “Is it red hot?” asks one. “No,” says the rhymer, “it is not flame.” “Is it a cripple?” asks another. “No,” says the rhymer, “it is not lame.”

“Is it a lady,” asks another player. “Yes,” says the rhymer. “What have you guessed?” “Dame.” comes the reply; and as that is the right word, the one who guessed then becomes rhymer.
